Configure comparison calculations
Activity steps:
- Open the Comparison Calculations screen.
- Find the row that you want to configure. See View and filter comparison calculations.
- Click the row.
The selected row displays editable fields.
- Update the required fields:
- Calculation Type: Select from:
- Disabled: The row is not configured for comparison calculations.
- Percentage Change: The comparison uses the percentage change between the configured metrics.
- Actual difference Δ: The comparison uses the actual difference between the configured metrics.
- Factor: The comparison uses the factor between the configured metrics.
- Percentage: The comparison uses percent of a whole between the configured metrics. A common example is plant recovery, where the recovery% is calculated from the plant product as a percentage of the feed metal.
- Decimal Places: Enter the number of decimal places to display in tables and chart labels.
- 2nd Upper Control Limit: Enter the outer upper tolerance limit if required.
- 1st Upper Control Limit: Enter the inner upper tolerance limit if required.
- 1st Lower Control Limit: Enter the inner lower tolerance limit if required.
- 2nd Lower Control Limit: Enter the outer lower tolerance limit if required.
- Style Configuration: Select the control limit style to apply to the row. The available styles are configured in the Control Limit Styles screen.
- Calculation Type: Select from:
- Review the control limit values:
- If you select Factor, Percentage or Percentage Change, suggested control limit values display automatically. Update them if required.
- If only one set of control limits is required, leave the other set blank.
- If you change the Calculation Type, update the control limit values manually as required because the existing values are not cleared automatically.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for any other rows that you want to update before saving.
- If you do not want to save the current changes, click Reset to discard the unsaved changes and restore the last saved state.
- To apply the changes, click Save.
