Validation Histograms
Like the base Histogram component, a Model Validation Histogram plots the frequency of different values in the underlying dataset(s). By default, the Model Validation Histogram overlays the plot of the parent data against up to three block estimates, which are configured on the Model Validation Properties page.
- When the parent component is point (assay) data, the histogram overlays the parent sample assay data against up to three block estimates.
- When the parent component is a block model, the histogram overlays up to three block model datasets, including the parent dataset, for direct comparison.
See Configure Model Validation Settings.
An additional series is plotted showing the frequencies of weighted assay values if a Weight variable has been assigned to the point data.
Note: Block model estimates are weighted by the configured volume and density values.
The Model Validation Histogram component can only be inserted under a Model Validation component.
Model Validation Histograms are configured in the same way as regular histogram components, with extra options for data series colouring. See Draw and Configure a Histogram.
