Export Continuity Models / Variograms

Export Continuity Models

Continuity models can be exported from either the Continuity Models or Back Transform Model components, depending on whether the data used to create the models has been transformed.

Activity Steps

  1. In the project tree:
    • If the data has not been transformed, right-click the Continuity Models component and select Export... from the menu.
    • If the data has been transformed, right-click the Back Transform Model component and select Export... from the menu.

Note: When transformed data is used, a Back Transform Model component is automatically inserted beneath the variograms in the Project Tree. See Variogram Back Transformations.

  2. Select the export location.
  3. Click Save.

The following export formats are supported:

  • CSV (*.csv)
  • Datamine (*.dm, *.dmx, *.csv)
  • Surpac (*.vgm)
  • Vulcan (*.vrg)
  • Variogram Parameters File (incl GSLIB) (*.csv)
  • Variogram Table (*.csv)
  • Leapfrog (*.lfv, *.xml)
  • Micromine (*.mmvarx)
  • Deswik (*.csv)
  • Minescape (*.gradeabs)

Notes:

  • Surpac (*.vgm) and Leapfrog XML (*.xml) support only a single continuity structure. When exporting a model containing multiple structures, only the first structure is exported.
  • Surpac (*.vgm) expresses anisotropy using ratios relative to the first variogram direction. For this reason, the variogram ranges should be ordered from largest to smallest (Major ≥ Semi-major ≥ Minor) before export. Otherwise, the exported anisotropy ratios may not correctly represent the continuity model.
  • Supervisor supports a single global rotation per continuity model. Export formats allowing different rotations for individual structures use this single global rotation during export.
  • When exporting continuity models, Supervisor automatically converts the rotation convention to the convention required by the selected export format. For example, DMX exports use the Datamine rotation convention. You do not need to manually change the compatibility settings before exporting.

Export Descendant Continuity Models or Variograms

Multiple continuity models or variograms can be exported at once from the Data Tree. Select a node in the Data Tree, right-click and select Export / Export Descendant Variograms from the menu.

Notes:

  • Supervisor exports either continuity models or variograms in a single export; the two types are not mixed. Results are combined into a single table, equivalent to exporting variograms individually.
  • When continuity models are available, they are exported in preference to variograms. If back-transformed continuity models are available, the back transformations are exported in preference to the original continuity models.

  • The available export formats depend on what is being exported:

    • Continuity models: Parameters file with GSLIB and Datamine (*.dmx, *.dm) are available. DMX is selected by default.

    • Variograms: only CSV is available.
