Validation QQ Plots
Model Validation QQ Plots are used to visually compare block model estimates with naive and declustered data to determine their similarity. If a decluster component is present, each block model estimate can also be plotted against the declustered data.
A straight line indicates identical distributions.
- When Model Validation is applied to point (assay) data, block model estimates can be compared with naive and weighted data. If a weighting is applied (for example using declustering weights or another numerical variable), each block model estimate can also be plotted against the weighted data.
- When Model Validation is applied to a block model, each selected dataset is compared against the parent block model dataset.
If Global Change of Support (GCoS) has been enabled on a neighbouring GradeTonnage Curve component, the theoretical Selective Mining Unit (SMU) grades can also be plotted against the naive sample data.
Note: Block model estimates are weighted by the configured volume and density values. When Model Validation is applied to point data, additional weighting can be applied using either declustering weights or a selected numerical weight variable. See Configure Model Validation Settings.
The Model Validation QQ Plot component can only be inserted under a Model Validation component.
